"If you talk to the animals
They will talk to you
and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them,
You will not know them,
And what you do not know
You will fear.
What one fears one destroys."
- Chief Dan George

Mission Statement

Black Creek Wildlife Station (BCWS) is an organization committed to the care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.  Our mission is to return each to its natural habitat and to establish public awareness of its responsibility to wildlife.

To this end:

All wildlife will be cared for under the guidelines set forth by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the National Wildlife Rehabilitation Association (NWRA), the New York Wildlife Rehabilitation Council (NYWRC) and consulting veterinarians.

BCWS will work to educate the public of the means by which it can help to preserve and protect wildlife.
